Dear FGSD Families,
These first few months of the school year have been challenging and oftentimes frustrating. We have seen our students show tremendous resilience and hard work as they have adapted to teaching and learning online. Thank you for your efforts to support your students and their teachers.
As we enter into the winter break, it is my hope that we can take a step back from Canvas assignments and Zoom calls and reconnect with each other. We look forward to seeing you again in the new year.

Important Information
The holiday season may seem especially challenging this year in light of all that we are currently facing. It is doubly difficult because we all miss our usual routines, usual means of support, the comfort of gathering with friends and family and the activities that have been part of our past holiday traditions.
If during these difficult times, you or your family find yourselves in need of extra support, please consider utilizing some of the resources that are available in our community. The district website has a list of community based mental health resources, including information on multiple counseling support lines. Additionally, If you would like more personalized assistance, the district has care coordinators who are available to assist your family in connecting with community mental health resources. Please do not hesitate to reach out to them. More information about care coordinator services and contact information can be found on our district website’s Care Coordination page. If your concern is urgent, please call the 24 hour Washington County Crisis Line at (503) 291-9111.
Meal Services
Meal services will resume on January 4, 2021. The food pantry at FGHS will be open on Monday, December 21st from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. More information and services can be found on the district website.
Inclement Weather Information
When severe weather conditions are expected, please check the district website (www.fgsdk12.org) or listen to the radio or TV for school operation information specific to CDL.
